Cyberattack Leaves Ontario Cannabis Store Unable to Fill Orders
The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS), the sole cannabis wholesaler and online retailer in Ontario, announced it was unable to process or deliver orders following a cyberattack on Domain Logistics, its third-party distribution center’s parent company. Despite no evidence of compromised customer data, operations were shut down for a forensic investigation. The incident has caused significant disruptions for over 1,300 licensed cannabis retailers in Ontario, leading to potential shortages and operational challenges. To mitigate impacts, OCS is waiving certain fees for retailers, but concerns remain over sufficient compensation and ongoing supply chain issues.
